You will be able to walk on the trails of the Guayabo National Monument, which is the most important archaeological site of the country, located 45 minutes away from Turrialba downtown. There you will learn about our native indigenous way of living, culture, handcrafts, monticules construction and roadways. You will observe petroglyphs, palm mats, graves and more!
You will be amazed by the ingenious way of constructing water capture tanks which still work for water storage, but above all, by the countryside beauty that will capture and take you back into the past, all in the midst of a secondary forest surrounded by beautiful flora and fauna. Furthermore, the Guayabo river canyon and its evergreen forests add beauty to the Monument site, making this a 100% nature adventure experience.
